Our corn this year...167 final average after massive rains in NE IL in June. Pretty evident along creeks, ditches and low areas that usually produce. Some very good corn mixed with a lot of zero yields. For comparison sake, our average in 2012 ("the drought") was ........167.
Isn't that ironic vs 2012! I just saw your post. The plot above in my post was from Bob Kohl's FS plot. Someday NE ILL will grow a normal crop. My top yielding year was 2008 and had much more consistent yields prior too then. 2005 was the exception we were dry until July. My APH has been declining until 2013. |
