I would say that the gmo issue would be the best in a speech contest. Easyily available information and the majority of the judges will probably agree with what he is saying. That would be a little mroe appropriate for the age of the presenter. At FFA age, they should be giving a little more intelligent topic than if you were a little kid presenting barnyard safety to your 4H club.
