Subject: RE: Corn Harvest and Manure Pics

Lacombe, Alberta
We take the dual off to harvest three rows without driving over anything.

We had a Loewen 3500 gallon tank on 30.5L32 tandem axle but we snapped studs and cracked rims all the time turning on pavement. My uncle moved away and we split up the equipment and thought about buying the tank and either making it steer or making it a single axle. We ended up buying a new tank and my uncle bought the old one. Steering with a walking beam didn't seem to be done much. You could see about putting spring suspension with steering that JBS uses. http://www.omegadrives.com/ADR.page Or Loewen said they would build a 3500 gallon single axle if we wanted. I didn't want to since I think we're already overweight on the Firestone tires on the tank and when we turn off the road most of the weight goes on one side and I didn't want to blow a tire. Since then Alliance tire makes a 35.5L32 that is a lot flatter footprint then the Firestones and I've seen them at Loewen but I didn't see them on Alliance's website. I thought they were rated for a heavier load.

I found this online: http://balzerinc.com/products/vacuum-tanks Click on the pictures and go to the fifth one. I thought about doing that on our old tank but have no idea how well it works.
