As 2014 harvest progresses I need to know how much corn to purchase from my father to leave in the bins for my next year of operation. I am working with averages, guess work and research I have found here and elsewhere. I am not super concerned about mixes and ratios yet, just simply how much corn I need to set aside. I am not sure about mixing yet as we used to get our feed mixed in Towanda, not sure if they are even open anymore. I do eventually plan on getting a mixer but that may be a year or so away.
Litter (~10 hogs) wean to market
- 100 Bushels
Sow per month
- ??? (Looking at info from different research it appears about 1.7 bushels)
Boar per month
- ??? (Same as sow? but different mixture I assume)
