After I made the post the thought struck me that that might have been what happened. So sorry I jumped the gun!!
More importantly about this calf: It puzzles me why more cattle owners, when they have such a situation, don't start with taking the temperature. It is so simply yet so valuable in trying to figure out what is going on....
