Driftless SW Wisconsin

BRADLEYGRAY - 10/8/2014 06:42 what kind of turnips did you plant? how many # per acre on rye and turnips?

I'm not sure what variety of turnips these are. I just asked for and they ordered for me a 50 lb bag of "forage turnips" at my local feed and seed store.  I planted these at about 10-12 lb/acre.  The cereal or winter rye as it is sometimes called was drilled at a bit above 2 bu/acre, maybe 2.3 or so.
