They take cold, but they don't grow much either when its cold. So..... They will freeze out, but in a mild winter with a good snow blanket a few survive up here. The pics of mine a week or two ago were after a frost that killed the corn and beans.
The oats is coming through in my field now, didnt get a pic the last few days but really a nice field now with the few sunny days we've had.
