| I'm sending a bred heifer to a Hereford influence sale in mid November and curious what she winds up bringing. She's a little too high strung for our liking and not in the top part of our bred heifers so she's a logical cull. She doesn't look bad but weighed her this weekend at 910 at the moment before we get a little feed into her over the next month while the other 3 bred heifers weighed in somewhere in the 1000+-1200 range. She's registered and bred to a registered bull which will likely make her one of the few on the sale bred with a calf you can register compared to some of the baldies and commercial females that will go through the ring too. Just have to hope she doesn't act up too much in the sale ring and get docked for it. | |
