ecmn | we like to pay cash for some feeders but the money is in pot belly loads, for us a pot load saves 7% auction fee plus about a ten cent premium.
the wife is still nervous to borrow money when the grain side is spinning its wheels. probably the best thing we could do is chop it all and buy a pile of steers but its just hard to do it. she is having good luck buying a handful of steers and sell by the lb out of the freezer.
$30/ton makes a lot more money then $4 corn going to the cities. | |
