| We recieved our property tax bills in the mail the last few days and in our county they were up a good 11%, in the school district where we live they were up 10.8%, in the school district where we do not live and have no voice they were up 11.7%. In an adjacent county where we have some land they were up 1%.
The valuations in both counties was raised substantialy but the rate was lowered some. The valuation is based on a formula and the high price of corn in the last couple of years is what is doing this. Eventially things will adjust again.
11% is a preety substantial raise.
