SW IN | Terrible situation all around. Simply adhering to Cooper's four rules would have prevented it as well as almost every gun accident.
1. Every gun is a loaded gun
2. Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3. Keep your finger off the trigger until it is on target.
4. Be sure of your target and what is behind it.
I ask my grandkids to recite those rules often, and every time we handle a gun. | |
