Central Illinois | I was taught years ago a way to essentially dissolve all the Y bones in a filet, it was done by making many small cuts on the filet through the Y bones. I did it for years and when you deep fried the northern filet those bones would just disappear and never had any issues with them. Unfortunately I have lost the ability to do it right in my 8 or so years I took off from fishing and now I can not seem to repeat the procedure. Ate a lot of bones this summer. Luckily the one who taught me is still around and I just need to be retaught. | |
