The SY Soren looks very good. I am not sure the 4 kernel spikelets add all that much, most have 3 but I think yield has more to do with the density of heads.

100-120 would be fun to watch on the yield monitor! I really like Faller wheat, it's been a few years since we raised it but I am temped to put a few fields in next year.


How do you like the Soren ? Some fields around here have tall off-types, even in registered seed fields with
a couple of local growers. That is bothersome.


I have soren also this is my second year. Last year with certified seed i had tall off breed spring wheat also. Looks like crap but at least it isnt contrasting class type stuff. I thought it was from the guy i bought seed from but maybe its somewhere else down the line. Other than that the Soren looks really good and looks clean from leaf diseases.

Vailcat and khall at what stage have u sprayed 28%before to get a protein bump? Is it after flowering is all over?
