Subject: Government POLICY played a HUGE role..

Remember that the government's solution at the start of the down turn was to jack up loan rates.. so the production switch was short circuited into the ON position.. and we soon ran out of storage..

Today we are MUCH more market oriented.. especially with all the things going on like 8 to 10% of the soybean crop being double cropped.. we'll no doubt phase that out here.. over the next couple of years..  Also all the high inputs.. there's a pletheroa of seed options today.. back then your options were Corn.. Beans.. or Sorghum..  Today you can buy.. conventional corn.. GMO corn..Super STACKED GMO corn...  I think the market for the upper end stuff is going to become ALOT more challenging..   So what is the extra $100 per bag buying for me?

Weather will always be a wild card.. and no doubt we've added acres.. but rest assurd that the laws of Supply and Demand have not been repealed.

Shoot what does cheap grain do to the bio fuels industry...  maybe not all bad afterall...??

good data Clay..  Wow drought of 88 was a doosy.. NOT as bad as the 2010 through 14 drought we are hopefully coming OUT of...???   but quite the event. nonetheless.
