Subject: RE: Drain tile not woking?

Thanks for all the advice. I really don't know how to explain it. This soil is very sandy that is why the said I needed socked tile and they said 70' will be plenty close. This company has done a few other pieces for us on much better ground and that is all 50' spacing and seems to be working very well. This field has lots of slope over 20' of fall in 1/2 mile so I doubt it has grade issues but I could be wrong. They did tile straight up hill which was easiest for them but sounds like a big no no with a situation like this. We got 6 inches of rain the 2nd day they were trying to put it in and had to come back a couple weeks later to finish so yes it was put in wet....very wet! When I say they nearly had plow stuck that means with the big D8 cat assisting already with a huge winch they had to winch it thru multiple places they could not pull the 4" boot thru with the big bron plow with a D8 cat pulling out ahead. It gives me hope that one of you said it may take a couple years.
