Subject: Rolled vs. ground feed

Kingdom of Callaway - Fulton, Mo 65251
I greased up and tried out the new to me roller mill and grinder mixer.

The roller mill is a lot easier to adjust, you just loosen some set screws and move a lever to adjust how close together the rollers are - no screens to change. I got it to where 99% of the corn is cracked, but not overly so. The grinder mixer seems to make a lot dustier finished feed, but the hydraulic hay feeding attachment is nice for adding bulk.

I was surprised that the scale worked on the roller mill, I bet for that reason I end up using it the most.

In your opinion which is better, rolled or ground?
