| One thing that bothers me these days and its a why ? Why are packers trying to control more cattle then ever? Sources that I trust say packers are pushing this feeder cattle thing hard. There trying to control a higher percentage of cattle on feed. Why? Will it give them that much more leverage buying cattle that losses on the cattle on feed will be more then be offset by the leverage they gain by owning that many cattle? I smell "change " in the wind................not sure I like that smell. Can anyone say vertical integration? Just could be we're seeing history in the making , right before our eyes. I certainly don't know..........but it bothers me. Not all that interested in being a feedlot janitor. | |
