Texas | Why would you not leave anything to your children? That is very strange to me. I bust my butt so hopefully my kids don't have to. I want them to know how to work but I certainly want te fruits of my life long labor to benefit them.
The power of attorney and will are very important regardless how old you are. My father passed away two weeks ago after a six month battle with lung cancer (non smoker). Having the power of attorney let us make the medical decisions he would have wanted and having he will in place has made things easier. Losing a loved one is incredibly difficult you don't want lack of preparing and proper documents to make it even harder.
My advice after just having gone through this is the best gift you can give your loved ones is having all your paperwork in order and very clear instructions on what you want the to do in certain situations like life support etc. | |
