The actual site is http://www.vrbo.com/ Vacation Rentals by Owner. Seems to be popular and they have insurance plans that protect both owner and renter from schemes to defraud. Many of the properties have reviews posted by previous tenants too. For me, it took away some of the uncertainty of buying a cat in a sack, so to speak.
