It's a fun little hobby for anyone with little kids. Think of it as treasure hunting with the aid of GPS to put you close. My kids are always begging to go, but we've found all the ones within 10 miles of here. Basically, someone hides a container with a log book and (sometimes) little trinkets to trade, with a GPS location to get you close. Then finding it is up to you--that's where the kids come in. They geet such a kick out of finding a container and seeing what's inside. There's a website where caches are catalogued and tracked, so someone can just check their smartphone to see if there are any nearby.
