Many people want to have a vehicle that looks like one they had years ago or one their parent had.  However the old motors and many other components aren't nearly as good as today's.  

What has become popular is replacing the inefficient and short lived motors with crate motors form GM.  You get plenty of HP, better mileage, dependability, and less pollution.  They also add power steering and air conditioning along with a modern suspension.  

That way you have a nice vintage looking vehicle that stands out but is fun to drive and safe.
