Subject: RE: Stock dog training

south east Indiana
I have posted clinics as I hear about them if they are from folks that I would take a dog to. I know many of those clinics are yet to happen there is one in Council Bluff Iowa coming up andmy clinic this fall and Texas later yet. I would say the dog needs to be a good year old before taking it to a clinic to get your moneys worth. Depends on the individual dob when it is 'ready' to start formal training. I would teach it to come when asked Every time it is asked and teach it to stop, either a stand or down. It should learn how to take a correction.

IF you let me know what part of the country you are in that will help.

Most clinics you can attend without a dog to begin to learn yourselves
