I think it takes a lot more work, knowledge and experience to raise bottle calves than it does buying older cows and putting on grass even with calving them. You have the cow to sell if the calf doesn't make it. Buying and selling at the right time is half the battle with them, keeping the bottle calves healthy can be tough at times
