Can't you grow flowers year round in Florida?
Trees and shrubs are especially great from March to June.
Plant some fruit trees or flowers like lilac or mimosa to get a return on your investment. Flowering currant makes nice hedges and smell so good.

There's lot of small plants that bloom early too, that's how the primrose got its name, the rose of Spring, and of course snowdrop comes even earlier. Rhododendron comes early too, and forget-me-not, pansy, bugle, crocus, muscari, heather (makes an intensely flavored dark honey), rockcress, wild marigold, daisy, etc.
Favor hardy plants that already grow in the wild locally, or plants that don't require much "maintenance" like heather, or annual plants that will establish a population from seeds every year, like marigold, if it's suitable to your climate.

Try also to leave your bees some honey to overwinter on, or feed them some from time to time. They will keep much healthier from it than from sugar syrup. We are not supposed to steal all their production. Good luck with your bee hive!
