Phew, imagine what could have happened if bees had evolved smart enough to milk cows!
Oh, but it looks like they do already, that "Wheast" yeast supplemental food is grown from bacteria that feed on lactose. ;)

Bees are pretty opportunistic, they fed from the refuse bins of a French M&M factory a few years back, resulting in honey that was blue or from the color of the candy production waste at the time it was collected. The factory had to cover the bins to prevent the bees from foraging them.

These bees must not be having a very healthy diet if they have to forage corn starch to make up for missing nutrients. This winter was slightly better than last year for colony collapse, even though the winter was longer and colder, let's drink mead to that!
