Subject: RE: Treat my soybeans??

Central Minnesota
Last year I did side by side Channel beans. Channel 2000R2, and 2000R2 treated with Poncho/Votivo. The treated beans were 3.1 bu/ac better than non treated. They were both planted at 140,000 on June 3rd of last year.

Drawback to treating beans, and reasons i'll never do it again...... I still have 2 boxes sitting in the machine shed from last year, that were treated. But later beans... And the way the weather is looking this year, I probably won't get them planted again this year. So if your going to treat them. Make sure you get them planted, or don't bother. I wouldn't do it unless they will treat them as they go into your tender or before they deliver them right to the field to your planter. Or you get them to take them back if you don't get them planted. Which it seems nobody will do. Cuz to me, it sure isn't much fun being stuck carrying over seed, and losing germ.
