| Well most livestock have more A/C than I get at home, so I wouldn't worry as much about temperatures as about access to water, that's becoming more precious by the day. Several of the cow breeds with big horns are already crosses from the African branch, others from the Indian zebu, it's nothing new to use the genetic pool from other countries.
That being said, there are also other species, not just races: Real mozzarella is made from water buffalo milk and I'd like to be able to buy tasty and heat-resistant Guinea fowl at the store... ;)
Edit: Talking about the zebu, the Brazilian meat breed Canchim is 67% Charolais, 33% zebu, so these crosses are common, nothing new or special.
