Listening to 40m this week and the MIDCARS net I heard a lot of comments about rain out your way. That may have kept some home.
As for the flea market, I suppose that is understandable as most stuff moves on ebay, QRZ, or some other site these days. Most people don't want to buy a table for a few items and then be leashed to the table for the entire event unless there is some one trusted to watch things while the seller wanders a bit. One of the things that I noticed when last there were the number of vehicles parked in the flea market area. Not being used as a tailgate booth, just parked for easy access I suppose. There was little doubt that the flea market was much smaller in '06 than in '99 and perhaps it was much smaller on my first trip there than in some years past. | |
