Wayne, our three main varieties are Honeoye, because they are early and yield, soil types affect the taste more with Honeoye.
Cavendish is next in maturity, larger berries throughout the season, sweeter but softer, they don't hold their quality as well as some. Very big yielder.
Third is Jewel, my favorite. The largest and firmest although later. It also has the best strawberry flavor and will stand up to traveling better then the others.

We also raise some Wendy, a very early berry. We put some Dar Royal in this year, same maturity as Honeoye but sweeter, it just doesn't have the yield.

There are three new ones we are trying this year, Rubicon, Mayflower and Flavorfest. We are always looking for the next great berry.

Dave, you picked Honeoye last year.

Chuck
