NW Iowa. / SW Arizona | Hi Chuck, I assume you use some kind of machine to plant that many plants. Do you have any pictures of how you do that? Sure wish I lived closer to you, I love fresh strawberries right out of the garden.
The ones you plant now won't bear very strawberries until next year right. We used to plant strawberries years ago & I seem to remember way back then we were told to pick the flowers off the new plants the first year so they put more energy to root growth vs.berries. But I know you couldn't come even close to doing that with your operation.
We gave up on trying to raise berries anymore, always had some sort of disease with them. Now it's SAMs Club which can't hold a candle to the flavor of fresh picked berries.
