ESD | It's my first time building a chicken coop and have had to do it in my two stall garage. I decided to go to the local hardware store and buy a pickup load of wood. My girlfriend thought I was crazy to build this shanty but I was determined since a few weeks earlier I purchased myself a variety of 20 chickens and 6 ducks. 8 layers, 8 broilers and 4 others to just let run the yard. There is still a lot to do to make this a functional chicken coop but it's coming along. A little more trim and some paint and add all the bells and whistles on and my new found friends will be right up town. I'm not much of a carpenter and had no actual plan on how to construct this coop but I think it's going to suit my needs for a few years to come.
