16 gig SD cards are a good buy these days. But I learned to buy class 10 cards as they download much faster than the lower class card. If you do video's the class 10 are almost a must for HD as they will download so much faster than say a class 4. We never erase SD cards anymore as they are quite inexpensive these days. Just another way of having backup photos. Good luck!
