Iowa | I used to do custom work. My biggest advice would be to be aware that not all farms may be in the same shape as yours. For me that meant lots of small irregular shaped fields that kill productivity/wash outs/small field entrances with trees that rub all over the machinery, and rocks. It helped some but I wore the machinery out sooner and Lost time I could have been working on our own land. If you like machinery, are mechanical, and there is opportunity around your area, I would suggest looking at a backhoe and tiling machine or a dozer. Good luck. | |
