Subject: RE: Controlling Rats with Dogs around

NorthWest Indiana
5 gallon bucket 3/4 full of water. Dowel rod across the center at top nailed to bucket loose so it spins. Coat dowel rod with peanut butter. Ramp up to edge of bucket. They will jump from the ramp to the dowel, dowel spins, rat falls in water and drowns. Works. Had an FFA member with a rat problem, they built four or five of these and emptied them every day for a month! They would fill up each night! Very effective until they can stand on the pile of dead rats and chew on the dowel rod!
