What width and how many horses does it take to run your tru-depth?

Our soil ranges from heavy gumbo to lighter loam.

Weve ran DEEP in the past with other tools (19"), haven't seen the payoff yet, not sure if we will. 6-8 inches seems fine.

Id prefer run a larger tillage tool at a slower speed.   We have done the opposite and many problems have occured.   Your wings up analagy seems logical.
