| What type of soil conditions are you in? What deepth do you plan on achieving?
I would designate anywhere from 7-12 pto hp/ft depending on spacing, depth, and soil conditions. Keep mind many people order thier chisel plows TOO BIG and end up shallowing up the tool due to lack of HP. Size it right and you won't have to sacrifice speed or depth.
As for running the chisel plow with the wings folded, I wouldn't recommend it. That's not what it is designed for.
We run the JD 2410 on 12" spacing and 1250 trip with great success. | |
