Subject: 5400

we have a 5400 4wd and loader (no cab) and we love it, have the loader off right now but it will pick up more than our 6310 4wd w/loader and cab. 5400 will keep picking up even when the back wheels are 5ft off the ground, 6310 quits picking up before it picks up just one wheel. Our 5400 is really easy on fuel also. Haven't replaced a clutch yet that i know of and it has 6700hrs on it. Had a little trouble with the clutch but that was just the lever going from the clutch foot pedal to the tranny. We really like it though, would rather use it on loader work than 6310 except the 6310 handles heavier loads easier. One thing to think about in nh, is, parts prices. Heard from lots of places that nh has really high prices for parts. I believe it because i went in to buy grade 8 bolts and all they had was grade 5 and cost just as much as grade 8 bolts are at jd. But we love our 5400 and will probly stay on the farm till it dies
good luck with the tractor you chose
