Formerly NE North Dakota, now NW MN
Not that it matters too much in the grand scheme of things, but the last few days spring wheat has done a decent enough job of making us at least not hate it. Though I still think new crop beans have further to run then wheat, I'm starting to get less excited about the idea of switching excess hrsw acres to beans. Urea at unspeakable prices isn't helping that, but there's maybe some opportunity there too. It's not common practice to top-dress here, but maybe this year we will. There's talk that there will be a "fertilizer cliff" that everyone will drive over...but no one knows if it'll be late april or late june.

My wild ass guess is we'll see another lower estimate yet for BR beans, but that's not based on anything but intuition. The big question in my mind is what PEDs impact on domestic crush is going to be.
