I watched them buying old crop corn in 1995 and wondered why they didn't buy new crop as it was 50 cents cheaper. After the old crop new crop spread got to over $2.00 they rolled out of the old crop into new crop. I have been wondering if they are trying to do the same thing now. They know we will be short on old crop so maybe they are trying to get the spread between old and new real wide and then they will roll out of the old and into the new and make their actual buying price much cheaper. |
