Subject: The irony.

For a small town to survive, it must grow. With growth comes crime and pollution.The growth then becomes stigmatized by the people that wish to keep their town the way it is and has been. So the growth gets choked to near zero. Then the town begins it's decline as no growth means no jobs and no opportunities. Then the people complain that their small towns are going away.
