nw oh | (Expected weight - start weight)/ expected gain = Days on feed. This is also an algorithm. Add a little experience and trial and error and will be just as accurate as your "computer algorithm". I can do most of it in my head. Remember packer gets final say on most contracts anyhow.
Next group we are selling days said end of March, cattle looked like now. Decided on 14th, packer said we need them on the 10th. So we ship on the 10th. Experience in cattle business means more than any computer just my thoughts. | |
