Subject: Lambing Barn Update.

Southwest MN
The last week has been a bit crazy around here today we had more ewes lamb, than we have lambing jugs getting to the point I have a couple sets of twins that don't even get to a jug. All were twins triplets or quads and 1 single we were able to graft 2 orphans onto. she has singles every year but she will take any lamb needing a momma without hesitation. not to mention wean big heavy lambs. To me she's worth having around.

A few weeks ago IASHEP had posted about the odds of triplets being all one sex one of my ewes out did that tonight and had 4 ram lambs. Starting to make me wonder as we are only running about 38% ewe lambs to 62% ram lambs if we will have enough ewe lambs for our ewe lamb buyers. Hopefully can sell some more rams this year to offset all of these whether lambs, at least the market is decent. Its nice to finally see that the cooler weather for this heat cycle of ewes is bringing in more triplets and quads. Hope everyone else's lambing is going good.
