NE Iowa | I'm in NE Iowa and we have heavy dews most mornings also. Because of the amount of dew I don't like to rake until the same day we bale. I don't know if you do the same but if so even if the rotary rake improves drying the hay is only raked for a few hours. I think the tedder is still the best way to cut drying time. I know you said you leave as wide of swath as posiible so you are likely driving on the edge of the swaths. I like to ted right after cutting to fluff up the dirven on spots and get the hay covering 100% of the field. | |
