North West Missouri | Don't know how many crops youre running but I run about double the cows youre running by myself for most everything. But Im half spring calving and half fall. It doesn't reduce the labor but spreads it out. I sell spring calves in January and fall calves off the cow in April-May. Was working me ragged trying to calve that many by myself in several locations. One of the better things Ive done for my situation but I think everybodys is different. Gotta feed them fall cows with calves a little more feed and better quality especially during breeding. Those fall calves at spring greenup are a hot commodity. Don't think youd regret it! | |
