Subject: Can I increase a cow's milk production?

perryton, tx
I posted here earlier about a cow with real swollen teats and I was afraid her calf wasn't getting milk. I finally decided to get her in the chute after seeing the calf ( now 9 days old) start to go backwards-we milked about 3/4 quart out of the 2 best producing teats and fed it to the calf but since then she doesn't seem to be filling back up. Is it possible she started drying up during the week that the calf hardly got any milk from her and if so how can I get her back to making milk? I know it's possible the calf is draining her when I'm not around but if offered a bottle he takes it and drains the whole thing in short order.
