Ontario's middle east | Except you are kinda right, wheat basis is more a dogs breakfast than a spread follower. I've told you before I really know nothing about that market .....if I keep yapping about it I will likely prove it. What I see is that wheat basis started out way too strong (maybe 50+ cents historically?) as a corn substitute. It then proceeded to get sucked into the vortex that became the cliff. It has battled back to what looks like avg historic values, not sure you can do much better but IDK. You have been very attentive to the $ca, as you should be. The game has changed in your back yard. I thought you would find this Hamilton bean chart interesting. Red is ca, grey is US. It shows you that you can trade the grain market right in Canada, but get thrown in the blender and have it turned on without the top if you ignore currency. In other words, your basis could suck and be getting suckyer and a Canadian sees a pretty girl getting prettier.
