I like to use $.25 on the dollar as a target for rolling my options but sometimes it doesn't always work out like that. In your case, $.30 is close enough. Yeah, you are capped at $170 less your option premium but you have also raised your floor a bunch too. One of the quickest ways to get into trouble is jumping in and out of hedges and second guessing your decision.
