Ontario's middle east | Boiling point of propane is about -40. So when it gets that cold you could transfer with a jerry can ( not recommending you try) but it just lays there liquid if you pour it out. To keep it liquid above that temp you need to have contained so it builds pressure and can't boil off. In northern Canada you will see electric blankets on the tanks to keep them above -40 and therefore still evaporating. Of course there is also the burn the car tire beside the tank method that can be quite effective. | |
