It can take a couple minutes for the 500 to notice the firmware after it has saw the USB. You may have to unplug the EZ Steer if one is in use. The upgrade file must be unzipped and not in a folder on the USB. Very rarely you will have to go in the menu and find the upgrade wizard, as sometimes the 500 does not recognize that there is an upgrade on the stick.
