Mascoutah, Illinois | Hedgefunds have underperformed the stock market for the past five years. The redemptions keep coming for these hedgefunds as investors continue to lose faith in the self proclaimed geniuses of the markets. The hedgefunds cannot invest the dry powder because they have to keep selling to meet redemptions from the unhappy investors who would have been better off parking their money in index funds and paying smaller commissions.. I believe it will take an epic event to get markets moving with the volatility we have become used to over the past three or four years.
